Lucia Marchegiani is Associate Professor of Business Organization and Human Resources Management at Roma Tre University, where she teaches Knowledge Management in the Digital Age and Human Resources Management. She holds a PhD in Organization and Information Systems. Her research interests cover topics such as Technology and Organizations, Experimental Organizational Behaviour, Knowledge Management and Social Media, Creative and Cultural Industries, Crowdsourcing and Boundaries of Firms. She has been visiting scholar at the Copenhagen Business School (DK), IESEG Business School (F), University of Copenhagen (DK), and ISC Business School at Paris (F). She has been project coordinator of research projects funded under the 6th and 7th European Framework Programme at LUISS Business School (Rome, IT). She has been involved in numerous international and national research projects on topics related to the organizational and human resources issues of big and small enterprises, internationalization and innovation, technological innovations impact on behavioural aspects within business organizations and on competence development requirements. Recently, she has been interested in analysing the European Digital Agenda and its impact in terms of competence gaps and of diversities within firms. She is currently involved in the Erasmus+ project KA2 – Cooperation and Innovation for Good Practices; OMO- On my own…at work, which deals with the inclusion of Down Syndrome people in organizations in the hotel sector.
She is member of the Departmental Committee for the quality of research and of the Committee for the international relations. As Project manager of several research projects, she has developed leadership skills and project management capabilities. As a happy mom of five kids, she has developed a multitasking approach and an attitude for care, mediation, and negotiation.
